Dear 1701 community,

June 8, 2023 marked seven years of 1701 in the ViBe District, and we have had such an amazing experience throughout every phase of establishing and growing this endeavor. So it is with a heavy heart that I must also announce that VB's first coworking space will be closing its doors at the end of June 2023. After seven successful years of providing a dynamic and supportive environment for entrepreneurs and creatives, we were unable to come to an agreement with our landlord to renew our lease.

While we are saddened by this news, we remain optimistic about the future. Our founders, Lisa DeNoia and Jeff Werby, are committed to remaining active members of the Oceanfront business community with their other successful ventures.

As we reflect on our journey, we are proud to have helped more than 750 businesses and startups since our launch in 2016. Our space has been a launchpad for more than 40 businesses that have graduated into their own leases and physical locations throughout Hampton Roads.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to our members, partners, and supporters who have been instrumental in making 1701 the thriving community it is today. Your hard work, creativity, and passion have inspired us, and we are honored to have been a part of your journey.

Thank you again for being a part of the 1701 community. It has been an incredible journey, and we will forever cherish the memories and relationships we have formed.
